About Harris Branch
Harris Branch is a 2,000-acre planned unit development in northeast Austin, Travis County. The community's homeowners association was established on December 7, 1987, with the master association recorded on July 24, 1989. The Galesi Group, a national real estate company founded in 1969, acquired the Harris Branch PUD in 1996 and established a development office in Austin to manage the project.
The community has grown in phases over three decades. The original 1990s phase produced approximately 1,200 homes, predominantly single-family detached residences in ranch and traditional styles with brick exteriors. The Belhaven section, built from 2003 to 2005, added homes averaging approximately 1,900 square feet. The Parkside at Harris Branch section, built by KB Home from approximately 2011 to 2016, added homes from 1,300 to 2,500 square feet with three- to five-bedroom floor plans. The community now contains over 2,000 single-family homes on predominantly quarter-acre lots, with homes ranging from 1,700 to over 4,100 square feet in a mix of one- and two-story designs.
The community amenity center at 11301 Farmhaven Road includes a swimming pool (open 9 AM to 9 PM year-round with lifeguards May through September), a fitness center, tennis courts, basketball courts, playgrounds, a sand volleyball court, and a jogging trail.
